It is located on the banks of the Tsav and Shikakhokh rivers, near the Shikakhokh Nature Reserve, at an altitude of 700-800 meters.
It is on the territory of this reserve that the largest grove of oriental plane trees in the Caucasus is located. In this grove, rich in fauna and flora, there are more than 1,000 plantain trees ranging in height from 30 to 35 meters.
18 species of flora of the reserve are listed in the Red Book of the former USSR. The avifauna is represented by 135 species. There are 37 species of mammals, of which the Caucasian leopard, Bezoar goat and brown bear are listed on the International Red List.
