Lichk Waterfall

The Lichk Waterfalls are one of the highlights of the Arevik National Park. They form a cascade on the Zvaraget (Lichk) River, with around twenty waterfalls in total, although only four are easily accessible. The trail starts from the “Arevik” camping area and is of moderate difficulty, with a total length of about 4 km.
The best time to visit is from late March to October.

Also located within Arevik National Park is the Hearts Waterfall, the largest in the park and one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Armenia. It lies on the Meghri River, 5 km north of the village of Lichk, with half of the route passing through the forest. The trail runs through a scenic forest and gorge; during low water periods, it is possible to approach the waterfall from below, while at other times it can be admired from above.

Lichk Waterfall (Լիճքի ջրվեժ) is a hidden gem located in the Syunik Province of Armenia, near the village of Lichk. This natural monument features a cascading waterfall approximately 25 meters high, surrounded by dense forests and cliffs. The falling water forms a cool basin below, attracting tourists and locals during the summer months. Fed by mountain springs and melting snow, the waterfall maintains a steady flow even during dry periods. The area around the waterfall is rich in flora and fauna, including rare species of plants and birds. Access to the waterfall is available via a trail from the village of Lichk, making it a popular spot for hiking and picnics. Locals consider the waterfall sacred and hold traditional rituals and festivals nearby. Lichk Waterfall is not only a natural wonder but also a cultural heritage site of the region.
